Alvaro Villarrubia Jimenez-Momediano: Spanish photographer (1964). Son of the photographer Luz Jimenez-Momediano and brother of the comic book color artist José villarrubia. He started photographing 80´s pop stars for album covers and concert posters. Since then he has shot celebrity portraits and fashion spreads for a myriad of Spanish publications: El Mundo (Magazine), El Pais, Neo2, Vanidad, Tendencias, Man, H Magazine,Arte de Vivir, Avenue, Fake, etc., international magazines: Art in America, SHÖN! (United Kindom), Paris Match, French Vogue, French Photo, Corriere della Sera (Italy), Marie Claire (Italy), Elle (Italy), Vision (China), Manner Aktuell (Germany), Black and White (Australia), Doux Magazine (Argentina), Umbigo (Portugal), etc., film posters (including Alejandro Almenabar’s Thesis) and fashion campaign 2007 for the Italian brand A-Style with the football mega star Leo Messy, Levi´s, Swatch, Athos Lombardini & Camper.
His photographs have been exhibited in ARCO, FotoEspaña, Canal de Isabel II, Estampa, Injuve and the Comunidad de Madrid, House of Oslo (Norway), A. B. Project (Berlin),London ALTERNATIVE ART FORUM (Collective+), Photogallery 20 (Bilbao), and the Contemporary Art Museum of Castilla and Leon. His work has been compiled in his monographic boock : CRASH!” (T.F.
