I love Enric Macià photography. He is great photographer and my friend. Today starts his exhibition „Metamorphosis animal” in Spain.
Author about photos: „Metamorphosis animal” comes from fear of finding oneself, the obligation to be like society wants us to be, how are we really? One of the best ways that exist to rediscover what we were, is undressing in front a mirror, and the result will be a personal catharsis. All the fear that causes this reunion is to not like we are.
The only way I’ve been struggling to find power, is creating an army of animals and metamorphosed, to make me stronger to fight the fear of my staff reunion.
Big surprise! Today I recived great message. My portfolio with 40 photos will be presented on Sunday at the Art Takes Miami: 1,001 Artists Project in Miami, USA! The 1,001 artists presented in interactive gallery are from over 86 different countries around the world. They are a small part of the 500,000 members!!!! Works of 1,001 artists will be included in a digital presentation displayed in the Art Takes Miami exhibition booth at SCOPE Art Show. You can see my works on streets of Miami! I’m so happy! And surprised 😉

Italian photographer Matteo Varsi has been snapping photos with expired polaroids since childhood. His daily documentation of everyday life is a constant search for the beauty and joy of imperfection.
Matteo Varsi was born in Levanto, Italy in 1970. His first photographic research involved photography and literature. After graduating with a degree in Modern Foreign Literature, Varsi won a scholarship at the Italian Institute of Photography, Milan in 2003 where he graduated the following year. His work has been in numerous personal and collective exhibitions including the Festival of Photography in Rome and the Photo Festival in Milan.

Paris Photo, 16th edition at the Grand Palais — the best of 19th century, modern and contemporary photography in the heart of Paris. This year the Paris Photo Platform features 4 days of conferences directed by Roxana Marcoci, Curator of Photography at The Museum of Modern Art, New York, with the special contribution of Paul Holdengräber, Director of „LIVE from The New York Public Library.” Structured as an experimental platform for critical discussions, the Paris Photo Platform engages in dynamic and robust debates about the expanded field and perspectives of photography. Participants feature an international roster of leading artists, architects, filmmakers, cultural historians, and theorists in the field exchanging ideas on the relational contexts in which photography operates today.

The first edition of Magnum Magnum was the photography book of the decade, a landmark publication that celebrated the vision, imagination and brilliance of the world’s most renowned photographic agency.
With over 400 images selected by Magnum’s photographers, this is at once a permanent record of many of the iconic images from the last 60 years by a legendary creative collective, and an insight, as seen through the critical eyes and minds of Magnum photographers, into what makes a great photograph.
Magnum Magnum harks back to Magnum’s early days, evoking the spirit of what made it such a unique creative environment, where each of the four founding members picture-edited the others’ photographs. Here, a current Magnum photographer selects and critiques six key works of another of the 69 photographers featured, with a commentary explaining the rationale behind their choice.
Photographer Shawn Clover created a set of composite photographs of San Francisco, California, blending pictures from the 1906 earthquake that hit the city, with present day images. Clover collected archival photos of the earthquake’s aftermath. He then replicated the photos himself, down to the location, camera position and focal length, then the rest of the task involved high Photoshop skills. After looking at the stunning results, it’s hard to imagine today that 106 years ago, much of the city we know now was a broken wasteland of rubble. The 1906 earthquake, and its subsequent fires, destroyed much of San Francisco and killed thousands. The work of Clover reminds us of photo blends created by Sergey Larenkov in his Ghosts of WWII series. Clover’s work is broken into two parts, Part 1 was created in 2010 and Part 2 was completed a couple of weeks ago.

It exists to discover – and rediscover – the most inspiring photographers of our generation. It is for any photographer who wants to open the door to worldwide exposure, connections and opportunity.
It’s simple: photographers submit their best images in any of the 5 categories. A global audience clicks the photos they love. The most-loved images continually move to the forefront for increased exposure. Artists are encouraged to ignite their own social networks to fuel their votes. Half of the 200 finalists are chosen by public appreciation, the other half are chosen by a panel of the sharpest eyes in the business to capture the work of those who may not yet have an online following. The final judging panel awards the category winners and Photographer of the Year. The SOLO prize purse is $25,000.
